Manage Notifications

Customize your notification preferences to stay informed without being overwhelmed.

Notification Types

Notification Channels

Email

  • Primary communication channel
  • Cannot disable critical notifications (payments, security)
  • Can customize frequency

In-App

  • Real-time notifications in dashboard
  • Badge count on notification icon
  • Cannot be disabled

Browser Push

  • Optional desktop notifications
  • Requires browser permission
  • Good for time-sensitive alerts

Managing Preferences

Access Settings

  1. Log in to your dashboard
  2. Click Settings (gear icon)
  3. Select Notifications
  4. Adjust your preferences

Preference Options

Required Notifications

These cannot be disabled:
  • Security alerts
  • Payment confirmations
  • Account issues
  • Legal/policy updates

Email Unsubscribe

To reduce emails:
  1. Click “Unsubscribe” in any marketing email
  2. Or go to Settings > Notifications
  3. Disable unwanted categories
Unsubscribing from marketing won’t affect project or payment notifications.

Troubleshooting

Not Receiving Emails

  1. Check spam/junk folder
  2. Add noreply@flexduty.com to contacts
  3. Verify email address is correct
  4. Check notification settings aren’t disabled

Too Many Notifications

  1. Switch to Daily Digest
  2. Disable marketing emails
  3. Turn off browser push for non-urgent items

Work Authorization Note

Your notification settings don’t affect your work authorization status. To update work authorization:
  1. Go to Profile > Documents
  2. Update any required documentation
  3. Contact support if you have questions about work eligibility
